Leslie Hairston, Alderwoman
A Chicago native with deep roots in the South Shore and Hyde Park neighborhoods, Leslie Hairston has built a professional career dedicated to public service. She recently won election to her fifth term as alderman of Chicago’s 5th Ward and sits on six City committees – Economic, Capital & Technology Development (vice chair), Finance; Budget & Government Operations; Committees, Rules & Ethics; Health & Environmental Protection; and Special Events, Cultural Affairs & Recreation.
She has held office since 1999.

Lori Lightfoot, Mayor of Chicago
Before taking office, she served as a senior equity partner at Mayer Brown LLP.
Mayor Lightfoot has held other key positions in City government, as the Interim First Deputy of the Chicago Department of Procurement Services and Chief of Staff and General Counsel of the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications.
Prior to that, Mayor Lightfoot was Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Illinois criminal division.

Toni preckwinkle, cook county board president
As the top executive in Cook County, President Preckwinkle oversees one of the nation’s largest public health and hospitals systems and one of the nation’s largest criminal justice systems.
President Preckwinkle is also president of the Forest Preserves of Cook County, the largest forest preserve districts in the country spanning 69,000 acres.
